Introduction to Art
Objective: Students will demonstrate knowledge by writing
vocabulary definitions with 80% accuracy by the end of class.
Materials Needed: Agenda:~Pencil 1. Bell Work
~Sketchbook 2. Vocabulary
~Art Talk Book 3. Rhythm/Balance Whiteboard Activity
Today we are learing random, regular, alternating, flowing and progressive
rhythm. We will also be learning balance: Formal Balance, symmetry, radial
balance, natural balance, informal balance, size and contour, color, value,
texture, and position. We will practice creating rhythm and balance.
Students who did not turn in bell work for last week should do so now.

progressive rhythm. We will be moving on to Balance and talking about
Formal Balance, symmetry, radial balance, natural balance, informal
balance, size and contour, color, value, texture, and position. We will also
begin a new project regarding balance.
