Introduction to Art

Objective: Students will demonstrate synthesis by composing

an artwork based on an altered fairy tale with 80% accuracy 

by the end of class.

Today, we continue working on our final drafts of our artwork. Our artwork
is based off of what we changed in the original story of the fairy tale.  All
students are responsible for their own copy of the new story as well as their
own artwork. Students must be close to completion by the end of today.
Final project is due MID CLASS TOMORROW (THURSDAY)

Art 3/4 & 5/6 

Objective: Students will demonstrate synthesis by composing

an illustration of a motif with progressive rhythm.

Students will continue creating their compositions using a motif and a pattern.
Students must use progressive rhythm in their composition by changing the
motif slightly each time it is repeated.

We will be using markers for this composition.

Students who have not paid their art fee will complete the Art Criticism in
Action on page 313. Students must answer all questions in sections 1-4 using
complete sentences.
