Balance: Critique

Introduction to Art

Objective: Students will demonstrate knowledge by 

recording definitions with 80% accuracy and 100% 

completion by the end of class.

Please grab an art talk book from the shelf and turn to page 255.
The words are:

Golden Mean
Scale
Hierarchial Proportion

Once finished, we will answer the questions in Check your understanding
on page 259, 266 and 273. Once finished, please turn in.

Today we are continuing our foreshortening projects. Students must be 50%
completed by the end of class.

Introduction to Art

composing a final illustration of balance with 100% 

completion by the end of class today.

Today we will finish our Informal Balance project. You must use some type of
Informal balance. (color, texture, value, position, size and contour)

We will be using chalk pastels.

want to keep your art materials privileges! :)

Today we participate in a group competition. The subject is favorite food!
Get with your group and talk about your favorite foods!! This week, I will
be grading you on TEXTURE and VALUE. Each group must have at least 4
DIFFERENT foods!

Vocabulary

Introduction to Art

Objective: Students will demonstrate evaluation by 

constructively criticizing their final draft rhythm 

compositions independently and collaboratively  by 

the end of class.

                                                            and Reflections
~Sketchbook                                  2. Missing assignments
                                                       3. Other class homework

I was out sick for most of Monday and all of Tuesday and
Wednesday. Most classes did not stick to the agenda laid out
for the substitute so today we will be giving time to those who
need to catch up. If there are students who are missing work,
today was the day we talked together about how to bring up
grades.

Rhythm: Critiques

Introduction to Art

Objective: Students will demonstrate evaluation by 

constructively criticizing their final draft rhythm

Today we will be voting class best for the final composition of 
rhythm. Afterwards, we will critique each other and reflect on our
work and progress.

Today we finish our final draft of the balance project.

3/4 I want you to choose what type of balance you want to use.
It can be formal or informal.

5/6 You must find a creative way to incorporate both informal
and formal balance within one composition.

You must turn in Thumbnails, rough drafts and finals today. We 
will be voting class best and critiques on Tuesday.

Please be sure to be considerate of students who will be using the
