Proportion: Making a 1/2" Grid

Introduction to Art

Objective: Students will demonstrate synthesis by creating

a 1/4" grid and turning it into a 1/2" grid with 80% accuracy

and 100% completion by the end of class.

  Materials Needed:                        Agenda:
~Pencil                                           1. Bell Work
~Sketchbook                                   2. Reviewing Vocabulary
~Ruler                                           3. Making a Grid

Today we will be reviewing our vocabulary and learning how to
make a one 1/4" grid over an image and then make the image twice
as large by creating a 1/2" grid.

Homework: print out a school appropriate image that shows
foreshortening and is no larger than half a page.

Art 3/4 & 5/6

Objective: Students will demonstrate synthesis by designing

a thumbnail and labeling how they will use tenebrism with

100% completion by the end of class.

Today we going to begin our thumbnails using extreme chiaroscuro-tenebrism.
A way that artists show emphasis and focal point is to use high contrast with
light and dark.

Materials Needed:                        Agenda:
~Pencil                                           1. Bell Work
~Sketchbook                                  2. Thumbnails.
